Arabic.app has no accounts and collects no personal data. There is no name, email, phone number or password to delete, because the app never asks for any. Your lesson progress, profiles and streaks are stored only on your own device.
How to delete your data
1. Delete everything stored on your device
All learning data — profiles, progress, stars, streaks and achievements — lives on your device only and is never uploaded. To erase it:
- Android: either open the app and choose Settings → Reset Progress, or go to Settings → Apps → Arabic.app → Storage → Clear data, or simply uninstall the app.
- iPhone / iPad: open the app and choose Settings → Reset Progress, or delete the app.
- Web version: clear your browser's site data for
arabic.app.
This removes that data immediately and permanently. It cannot be recovered.
2. Reset the anonymous analytics identifier
The only thing that ever leaves your device is anonymous, aggregated usage analytics (for example: a lesson was opened, a quiz was completed). It is tied to a randomly-generated identifier, never to you.
- Android: Clear data or uninstalling the app resets the Firebase app-instance ID.
- iPhone / iPad: deleting the app resets it.
- Web: clearing site data for
arabic.appresets the Google Analytics client ID.
Reinstalling or revisiting generates a new, unrelated identifier.
3. Ask us to delete analytics events already sent
Email contact@arabic.app with the subject "Delete my data". We will submit a deletion request to Google Analytics for the associated identifier and confirm by reply. Please send it from an address we can reply to; we do not need any other personal information from you.
What is deleted, what is kept
- Deleted immediately by you: all profiles, lesson progress, quiz scores, stars, streaks and achievements. These are device-only and we never receive them.
- Deleted on request: the anonymous analytics events associated with your device's identifier.
- Kept: aggregated, non-identifying statistics — for example "how many people finished lesson 3 this month". These contain no identifier and cannot be traced back to any device, so they cannot be singled out for deletion.
- Retention: Google Analytics retains event-level data for up to 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically. Aggregated reports may be retained longer. We store no user data on our own servers — we do not operate any.
