Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 August 2026

The short version: Arabic.app does not ask for an account, an email, or any personal information. All lessons and audio work fully offline. We do not sell, share, or trade personal data with anyone.

1. Who we are

Arabic.app ("the app") is developed and operated by Aaratus, Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). This policy describes how we handle information when you use the iOS app, the Android app, the web version, or visit our website at arabic.app.

2. Information we do not collect

To be unambiguous, the app does not collect, store, or transmit:

3. What we do collect — and why

The app and website use analytics from Google (Google Analytics for Firebase in the iOS and Android apps, Google Analytics 4 on the website) to record anonymous, aggregated usage events that help us understand how the product is used — for example, how many people complete a lesson, which lessons see the most quiz retries, or whether a new release crashes more often than the previous one. Specifically:

This data is anonymous and aggregated. We use it solely to improve the product. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. What we do not show

We do not display advertising of any kind — no banner ads, no interstitials, no "watch a video to unlock" prompts, nothing. The app has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. There is no monetisation pipeline attached to your behaviour inside the app.

5. Children's privacy

Arabic.app is a general-audience learning app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — and as detailed above, we do not collect personal information from anyone. The app does not require sign-up, does not request permissions to access device features that could identify a user, and contains no advertising or external links beyond the app stores and this website.

6. Notifications

If you opt in to reminders on iOS or Android, the app schedules local notifications on your device (for example, a daily practice reminder). These notifications are generated and stored entirely on your device by the operating system. We do not operate a push-notification server and we do not send remote messages. The web version has no notifications.

7. Audio

All Arabic audio (letters, harakat, words, sentences, suras) is bundled inside the iOS and Android apps at install time, and served as static MP3 files on the web. Playback never requires us to receive any audio from you, and we do not record or process audio from your device's microphone.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses two categories of browser storage:

9. Third-party services

The product uses two third-party services, both for anonymous analytics only:

The product does not integrate any advertising SDKs, attribution SDKs, social-network SDKs, or tracking pixels.

10. Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data tied to your identity, there is no personal data we hold about you to access, correct, export, or delete. If you want to reset the anonymous identifier your device sends, deleting the app resets the Firebase app-instance ID (on Android you can also use Settings → Apps → Arabic → Storage → Clear data); clearing your browser's site data for arabic.app resets the GA4 client ID. Reinstalling or reopening the site generates a new, unrelated ID.

Step-by-step instructions, and how to ask us to delete analytics events already sent, are on our Delete Your Data page.

11. Data retention

Firebase Analytics and GA4 retain event-level data for up to 14 months by default; aggregated reports may be retained longer. We do not retain any data outside of those Google services.

12. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy we will post the revised version at arabic.app/privacy and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be summarised in a release-notes update on the App Store and Google Play.
